Reception Hours 

Reception is open daily from 2pm - 7pm for check in. If you plan to arrive after 7pm please contact us to arrange your late check in.

Check Out 

Our check out time is 10am.  Should you wish to extend this time, please contact us.  Please note there will be a late check out fee and this will be subject to availability. 

  • Leave your key in the drop box located outside reception
  • Turn off the utilities, especially the heaters!
  • Come and say hi if we are around - we always love to hear about your stay

Payment 

All payments will be settled 2 days prior to arrival using the card you provided during booking. There is a 2% surcharge on all credit card payments. If you wish to settle your account with EFTPOS or cash on arrival please respond to this email and we will not charge your card. 

Parking 

Free off street parking is available. It is allocated on a first come first served basis. If the car park is full street parking is free between 5pm and 9am.

LCD Smart TV's with Netflix

All units have a living area with a couch and a large flat-screen TV. Every TV has Netflix + Freeview + Samsung channels

Heating and Air Conditioning 

All rooms are fitted with new daul air conditioning heating units. Please be courteous and turn these off when you leave the room. Electricity costs in Wanaka are high and your cooperation in conserving energy is appreciated.

Housekeeping 

Rooms will be serviced daily between 9.00am and 2.00pm. Please leave the service sign on your door during these hours to indicate to us you require a service.

Laundry Facilities

A laundry service is available for guests from 2pm daily. It is $25.00 for a load to be washed, dried and returned to your room.

Iron & Ironing Board

Are located in the wardrobe in your room.

Hairdryer

One hairdryer is supplied per unit. We have spares so just ask if you need another.

Kitchen Facilities 

Cooking facilities are available in all our rooms. We ask you are considerate in the choice of foods cooked to avoid strong odors that may linger in the room. Extra charges may apply if the room is unable to be used due to lingering odors caused by cooking

Dishes

We kindly ask that you take responsibility for your dishes. Our housekeeping staff are dedicated to ensuring a clean, pleasant stay for all guests and are not tasked with personal dishwashing.

BBQ and Picnic Facilities

This is situated at the rear of the property and available for your leisure. Please inquire at the reception desk for BBQ utensils.

Damage

The guest who has booked the room is liable for any damage or theft from the room or property. The cost of any damage to the room will be charged to the credit card used to book the room, or taken from the security bond.

Keys

Return your room keys either at the reception desk or in the drop box outside reception upon checkout. Unreturned keys will incur a $100.00 charge

Blankets

There are extra blankets and pillows in your wardrobe. If you require any additional bedding please contact reception

Lost & Found

Items left in rooms will be held for 3 months; thereafter, they'll be donated to charity. Postage for items return is at your expense

Luggage Storage

Is available for motel guests. Please ask at reception

Milk

Fresh milk is complimentary on arrival.

Coffee & Tea

Facilities are provided in all room. If you would like a coffee plunger please ask at reception

Parking

Spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. There is free parking on the street outside the motel from 5pm - 9am.

Recycling

We are an eco friendly property. Please use the recycling bins provided for your paper, plastic, glass and cans

Visitors

Visitors allowed on-site until 9:00 PM. Disrespectful behavior will result in removal, and police may be notified

Water

The tap water is safe to drink. Feel free to refill your bottles.

  • Kika - Innovative seasonal sharing plates in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Great NZ lamb shoulder! We recommend making a booking
  • Muttonbird - Simple food done well! The vision: to serve food they love to cook and make something special in the process. Amazing NZ lamb on the menu. Bookings recommended.

The nearest domestic airport is Wanaka. It is approximately a 10 minute drive. The nearest international airport is Queenstown. It is approximately a 1 hour drive over the Crown Range or 1 hour 15 via Cromwell. Allow an additional 30 minutes for roadworks, weather or other hold ups.

In the unlikely event of a serious earthquake move to the emergency gathering identified in the fire evacuation notice in the room. If moving isn't safe, stand under the closest doorway until the earthquake stops, then proceed to the front of the property.

Here at ASURE Accommodation, we work hard to support our beautiful country by undertaking practical sustainable actions. Many of these you will not see, but some you may notice – all make a difference to the environment we live in.  Here are some of practices our members have in place: 

  • Buy from local sources, which, both support employment in our community and reduces the distance our goods must travel to reach us. 
  • Work with suppliers that can provide our group with environmentally sustainability products. Some members have joined the Dream Green Initiative from Vendella, our provider of hospitality products. Some of our members also use Starline products, and proudly support Beyond Skin Deep recycling. 
  • Work with suppliers that can provide our group with environmentally sustainable products. 
  • Donate supplementary products and excess bedding and furniture. 
  • LED light bulbs are installed on our premises. 
  • Temperature controlled heating and cooling 
  • Energy-efficient timers are installed on our exterior road-sign. 
  • Reduce the amount of waste going to landfill by separating it for recycling. 
  • Use only biodegradable and non-toxic cleaning products. 
  • Recycle and or repurpose product containers. 
  • Soap & hair wash dispensers installed in all bathrooms to minimize waste. 
  • Train our committed staff to consistently carry out our environmental practices. 
  • Our ASURE members are actively involved in our local community and provide sponsorship to many community groups.

  • When not needed or when leaving a room, turn off lights or equipment such as heat pumps. 
  • Turns off taps tightly when not directly using water. 
  • Many of our properties offer recycling options. Please utilise the bins provided. 
  • Didymo and other aquatic pests could squeeze the life out of our country’s most precious rivers and lakes. You can help to protect your favourite waterways if you always Check, Clean, Dry any gear that comes into contact with the water, between every waterway, every time.
